In our P2 classes this week we are talking about the fruits and vegetables we learned in our previous lessons this unit, but now we are adding colors! We are focusing on describing which fruits and vegetables are what colors! This can be a little challenging as the sentence we are learning uses two different vocabulary words with the word "are" in between. Sometimes young students struggle with these types of sentences so lets go over a good way to practice!

Our sentences for this lesson are:
- What color are cucumbers?
- Cucumbers are green.

A good way to practice this is practicing with things you commonly use around the house.

Example:
- What color are your shoes?
- My shoes are pink.
- What color are moms shoes?
- Moms shoes are red.

Many children when you ask what color things are, will simply say the color, encouraging the full sentence is key to mastering this language pattern! You can do it!

今週のP2クラスでは、このユニットの前のレッスンで学んだ果物や野菜について話しています！どの果物や野菜が何色であるかを説明することに重点を置いています！"are"を挟んだ2つの異なる語彙を使うので、少し難しいかもしれません。このような文章は若い生徒には苦手な場合があるので、練習方法を説明しましょう！

In our P1 class this week and last week we are learning about things we find on our kitchen tables. We are learning the words spoon, fork, knife, plate and cup, and this week we are focusing on counting those things! This lesson is very easy to practice at home, since it is all about things we use at meal times.

Think about your own kitchen table, how many plates are there? How many cups? Practice counting the utensiles on your own kitchen table in English!

In our P5 classes this unit, we have been focusing on various locations around a town as well as what you do at those locations.

For example:
- Where is he going?
- He is going to the gym to work out.

Think about places you often go, like school or the grocery store. What do you do at those places? Do you study? Do you buy snacks? Applying what you learn in class to your own life can really help you better remember your lessons and the sentences you learn. Try practing at home!

Example:
- Where am I going?
- I am going to school to study.

In our P4 lessons this week we are learning how to speak about people in the past tense. This can be a tricky concept to understand and remember so lets practice!

Boy = He
Girl = She
More than one person = They

When we are talking about one single person in the past, we use was.

Example:
He was careless.
She was dirty.

When we are talking about more than one person in the past, we use were.

Example:
They were rude.
They were shy.

Try practicing this at home while talking about your own friends an family!

This week (November 19-23) and next week (November 26-30) are parent observation lessons! These can be quite nerve-wracking for students so let's talk about how to prepare to really show off to our gaurdians how well we do in English class!

This week is for our P3 and lower classes, so ages 6 and down. Watch the online videos to get a head start on knowing the vocabulary, and remember to sit nicely in class. This will not only impress your parents with how you remember your English vocabulary, but also impress your teacher!

Next week is for ages 7 and older! This is where students nerves can really start to get the best of them. Try practicing the previous weeks vocabulary at home, so when it comes time for the review portion of class you really do well. As soon as you come into class get your homework ready for your teacher and sit nicely during the lesson. I know having your gaurdian watch the lesson can be scary, but remember, they want you to succeed, so lets show them how smart you are!

今週（11月19日～23日）と来週（11月26日～30日）は保護者参観レッスンです！生徒にとっては緊張することでしょうから、保護者の方に英語クラスでの成果をアピールするための準備についてお話ししましょう！

今週は6歳以下のP3以下のクラスが対象です。オンラインビデオを見て、語彙を先取りし、授業中はきちんと座っていましょう。そうすることで、ご両親に英単語の覚え方を印象付けるだけでなく、先生にも好印象を与えることができます！

来週は7歳以上が対象です！来週は7歳以上が対象です。前の週の単語を家で練習しておけば、授業の復習の時に本当によくできるようになります。教室に入ったら、すぐに宿題を先生に提出し、授業中はきちんと座っていましょう。ガーディアンにレッスンを見てもらうのは怖いかもしれませんが、ガーディアンはあなたの成功を望んでいることを忘れないでください！
