This week we covered Mm, Hh, Ss in our Lesson 4 for Unit 3.
Let's review these words!

Mm- melon, mop

Since we are currently on lesson 4 of unit 3, we are reviewing all of the phonics we have learned in this unit. This can be a little daunting as we covered some brand new sounds and words, so lets review!

As we have been progressing through Unit 3, we have covered many types of musical instruments as well as what the player is called, like a cellist for example. Since we are talking so much about music, now would be a great time to think about the music you listen to regularly or the music you like the most. What kind of instruments do you normally hear? What are the players called? We have talked about drummers and singers, but what are guitar players called? Or those who play the bass guitar?

(hint: they both use the -ist sound we hear in cellist and trombonist)

Remember, practicing English at home will make you more comfortable with the language and more confident in class, you can do it!

This unit, in our P7 classes, we learned about Adverbs of Frequency.
(ex: normally, rarely, occasionally, sometimes, always) We can use adverbs of frequency to say how often we do something.

(この単元では、P7 のクラスで頻度の副詞について学びました。 (例: 通常、まれに、時々、時々、常に) 頻度を表す副詞を使用して、何かをする頻度を言うことができます。)

We can also use the following expressions when we want to be more specific about the frequency:

This week in our story book, we learned about "a garden, flowers and ladybugs."

This week in P4 we learned about even more foods, in particular, we focused on asking questions about food!

- Does the bagel sandwich taste good? Yes, it does./No, it doesn`t.
- Which tastes better, the grilled cheese or the hamburger steak? The grilled cheese tastes better.

Encourage your student to share their thoughts in English on the different foods they eat at meal times, practicing English outside of class will only help them feel more confident with the language they are learning about in class! They can do it!
