In our P2 classes this week we are continuing to work on using the words 'These' and 'Those'.

Many times this year we have worked on the words 'This' and 'That'. We use these words to describe a single object either close to us (This) or far away from us (That). For single objects we also use the word 'It'.

example:
- What is this?
- It is a cat.

But now we are working on 'These' and 'Those' to describe more than one thing either close to us (These) or far away from us (Those). For more than one object we use the word 'They'.

example:
- What are these?
- They are cats.

今週のP2クラスでは、引き続き'These'と'Those'の使い方を学びます。

今年、私たちは何度も'This'と'That'という単語を使ってきました。これらの単語は、近くにあるもの（This）や遠くにあるもの（That）を表すときに使います。また、1つの物には'It'という単語も使います。

example:
- What is this?
- It is a cat.

しかし今、私たちは「These」や「Those」を使って、私たちの近くにあるもの（These）や遠くにあるもの（Those）を表現しています。つ以上のものには「They」を使います。

example:
- What are these?
- They are cats.

In our P1 lessons this week we are asking the question, "Can you see a duck?"

Whenever you use your eyes, you see things!

In our P5 lessons this unit we have been focusing on countable and uncountable words and phrases.

So far we have learned that countable nouns (nouns being people, places or things) end with the letter S. Like cherries, banana slices and chopped nuts for example. But sometimes things that are plural do not end with the letter S and they are still countable.

In this weeks lesson we use the word, shrimp! In American English when talking about more then one shrimp, we do not add an S.

Example: I want three shrimp please!

このユニットのP5のレッスンでは、可算名詞と不可算名詞の単語とフレーズに焦点をあてています。

これまで、可算名詞（人、場所、物を表す名詞）はSで終わると学んできました。しかし、複数形のものはSで終わらなくても数えられることがあります。

今週のレッスンでは、shrimpという単語を使います！アメリカ英語では、複数のエビについて話すとき、Sをつけません。

例 エビを3匹ください！

In our P8 lessons this unit we have been talking all about good and bad habits. Everyone has both good and bad habits. Good habits are things that make your life better or those around you happy, while bad habits can make your life difficult or those around you upset.

In our lessons we have learned many new words and phrases to describe our habits, but try to think of some habits you have that we haven't learned or talked about in class! Heres an example:

A good habit I have is studying English every day.
A bad habit I have is not practicing my hand writing.

Being able to talk about yourself in this manner is very useful for English conversation, so be sure to practice what you learn and the language patterns at home.

このユニットのP8のレッスンでは、良い習慣と悪い習慣について話してきました。誰にでも良い習慣と悪い習慣があります。良い習慣とは、自分の生活を良くしたり、周りの人を幸せにしたりするもので、悪い習慣とは、自分の生活を難しくしたり、周りの人を怒らせたりするものです。

レッスンの中で、私たちは習慣を表す新しい言葉やフレーズをたくさん学びましたが、クラスで学んだり話したりしていない習慣をいくつか思い浮かべてみてください！例を挙げてみましょう：

私の良い習慣は、毎日英語を勉強することです。
悪い習慣は、字を書く練習をしないことです。

このように自分のことを話せるようになることは、英会話にとても役立ちます。

In our P1 and P2 classes this week the letter we are working on is the letter C! The sound we are focusing on learning is the hard C sound like in the word "Cookie". Let's see what words we are learning!

At home remember to practice saying the letter sound and reviewing your words!

In our P7 classes this unit, we are learning how to talk about movies! We are learning how to talk about what part of the movie we like (Beginning/Middle/End) as well as why/what the reason in (There was a car chase/He snuck into the base/etc). Learning to talk about casual things, like movies, is very important to casual English speaking, it is something that allows you to not only talk to people about what you like, but learn about others as well.

At home, think about the movies you like, whether it be a specific movie or a genre of movies. Be ready to share in class about what aspects of movies you like. It can be scary to express your own opinions and thoughts in English, but try your best, we are all learning together, do not be afraid to make mistakes!

このユニットのP7のクラスでは、映画についての話し方を学んでいます！映画のどの部分が好きか（初めの部分／真ん中の部分／終わりの部分）や、なぜ／どんな理由（カーチェイスがあった／彼が基地に忍び込んだ／など）について話す方法を学んでいます。映画のようなカジュアルなものについて話すことを学ぶことは、カジュアルな英会話にとってとても重要です。

家で、特定の映画やジャンルの映画など、自分の好きな映画について考えてみましょう。クラスでは、映画のどんなところが好きなのか、共有できるようにしておきましょう。自分の意見や考えを英語で表現するのは怖いかもしれませんが、頑張ってください！

In our P5 classes this week we are working on uncountable and countable nouns. A noun is any word that is a person, place or thing, and in this lesson we are talking about toppings on food, toppings are things!

Countable nouns are things you can easily count, like pickles, socks, your eyes, or apples. The key word is easily, things things are easy to count. For countable nouns we use the phrase "How many ..." because we can easily identify the number (Like four apples or ten socks).

Uncountable nouns are things you can NOT easily count or are impossible to count without the addition of a counter word (like cups or pieces), like water, sauce, hairs on your head, or grass. For uncountable nouns we use the phrase "How much ..." because we cannot identify the number, so we must use words like a little or a lot.

今週のP5クラスでは、不可算名詞と可算名詞について学びます。名詞とは、人、場所、物を表す言葉で、このレッスンでは食べ物のトッピングについて話しています！

可算名詞は、ピクルス、靴下、目、リンゴなど、簡単に数えられるものです。キーワードは 「easy」（簡単に）です。数えられる名詞には、「How many ...」 というフレーズを使います。なぜなら、私たちは簡単に数を特定できるからです（4つのリンゴや10の靴下のように）。

数えられない名詞は、水、ソース、頭髪、草のように、簡単に数えられないか、対になる言葉を加えなければ数えられないものです(カップや個のように）。数えられない名詞については、数を特定できないため、a littleやa lotのような単語を使わなければならないので、「How much ... 」というフレーズを使います。
