Do you like cats? 😸

Today, August 8th is International Cat Day. 🐱

Cats get the royal treatment on International Cat Day. Not that this isn’t already the case on most days, but they are especially pampered and showered with love today. 💖

Cats are one of the finickiest members of the family, so the day is spent catering to their every need; buying them their favorite treats and letting them shred to their heart’s content. 🍬

Not every cat is lucky enough to have a good home where it enjoys a lavish lifestyle.😿 Stray cats are subjected to cruelty and injuries due to car accidents and other harmful situations, so donations are generously made to animal shelters and welfare organizations. Cats are also adopted and taken to their new homes, especially by children who are getting their first pet. 🐈

Learn more about your favorite animals and lets's talk about them in English. This will make answering EIKEN and TOEIC questions a lot easier for you. 🏫

Yesterday was World Listening Day.🎧

Let's read some facts about listening. 👂

Listening to music creates a stress-free environment, for example, listening to music before surgery reduces cortisol* levels, and it helps some students relax and study better before an exam. 🎶

*It's your body's main stress hormone.

Less than 2% of people have had formal education on how to effectively listen. 🏫

To become an effective listener, it is important to not assume, refrain from making judgments, and hold our thoughts to really listen to what the other person is trying to convey. 👍
