The article "the" is the most frequently used English word. Today, let's learn
how to use the article "the" in English language.
We use the definite article in front of a noun when we believe the
listener/reader knows exactly what we are referring to:
- because there is only one - I can see the moon brightly.
- because there is only one in that context - Look at the flower over there. (which means the flower I am pointing at)
- because we have already mentioned it - An old lady is crossing the street. The old lady is walking slowly.

Nouns can be

plural.
When you are talking about one person, animal, place, or thing, use a singular noun.
Here are some grammar rules when using singular nouns:
- Use a or an before singular nouns.
