- for the word "I" (Next year, I will go to Osaka.)
- for the names of people (Akiko, Ken, Stefan, Nicholas)
- for the names of places (America, Japan, National Museum)
- for festivals, holidays, days of the week, months of the year (Children's Day, Golden Week, Monday, February)
