This is a reminder that next week is a Seminar Week. There will be no regular weekly lessons. Instead, we will have private lessons for students. Many students want to prepare for the EIKEN exam, so many students take lessons during Seminar Week for that. We also have many students practice phonics and reading. No matter what you want to study, we can help you in a private lesson! If you are interested in taking seminars, please contact the school.

In our Baby, Pre-romper, and Romper classes, we always talk about the weather at the beginning of class. Normally, it is sunny, but the past few days have been quite rainy. The children get very excited to see and touch the "rainy" card, since we do not use it very often. I like to raise the card very high and then bring it down very quickly while the students try to touch it. They always have a lot of fun doing that.

皆さんがおうちで頑張っている家庭学習ドリルですが、レッスンの前後の時間を使って、アミティーの自習スペースで頑張っている生徒さんも多くいらっしゃいます。わからない時には、クラスメートのお友達がヘルプしてあげている姿もよく見られます。フォニックスや学年ドリルは、コツコツと続けていけば必ず力になります！一緒にがんばりましょうね♪ (Y)
In our P5 Course, for Unit 2, our topic is about amusement parks. I love going to amusement parks. I think they are fun and ecxiting. A lot of my students told me that they like the carnival games very much. They are so exciting to play. A lot of my students said that they don't like the lines. There are long lines in every amusement park in Japan! They are boring. How about you? What do you like at amusement parks?

Staying Cool in Early Summer
It has been very hot this week. What do you do when it gets very hot? Do you use a fan or the air conditioner? Do you like to eat ice cream when it`s hot? Or maybe drink some cold lemonade? Some of my students told me that they like to go to the pool and swim. Let me know what you do when it gets hot next time you come to Amity!

This week we are continuing to practice some animals in our pre-romper classes. When one of the students saw a pig on the board, they said "Oink oink." This is the sound that pigs make in English. Do you know any other animal sounds in English? If you know any of these, tell me what they are next time you come to Amity: moo, cluck, bark, meow, ribbit

Hello! In our P3 course class, we practiced using the pronouns HE, SHE, and THEY.
The pronouns HE (for a boy) and SHE (for a girl) take the be-verb IS. For example in class, we practiced saying "He is eating", or "She is dancing".
The pronoun THEY (for 2 or more people), takes the be-verb ARE. For example, we practiced saying "They are playing".
It takes some time to get used to saying these sentences in English, so please make sure to practice with your kids at home, too! Have fun learning English!
