This week is the second week of our 参観日 at Amity. We were very happy to see the Parents of our younger students last week. Our students and parents had a great time! This week will be our Elementary school to High School students' turn to show their parents what they can do in class. We are all very excited to see you!

We are now entering the rainy season! I brought my umbrella today just in case. I do not want to get all wet! Some students have told me that they like rainy weather because they can stay inside and play video games all day. Either way, I am glad that they still come to Amity when it rains!

Reminder for Parents' Observation Lessons
This is a reminder that we are conducting Parents' Observation Lessons this week and next week. Please double-check the time of your student's lesson. 「Lesson3は参観日！お父さんやお母さんにがんばっているところを見てもらおう！」と、どのクラスもがんばっています♪
自分の筆箱や消しゴムを持って、"It's mine."と答えたり、お友達のバッグを'It's Yui's.と答えたり、いろいろな名前を使って練習しました。出てくる名前を少し難しく感じることもある様子でしたが、Mickeyはみんなすぐに覚えました！おうちでも練習してみてくださいね。 (Y)

Let's order food at a restaurant! 🍟🍗🍔
In our P4 course class last week, we learned how to order food at a restaurant/fast-food.
Our students acted as staff and customers. The student who acted as a staff asked, "What would you like to eat?" The student who was the customer answered with this sentence pattern: "I would like a cheeseburger, please."
The students did a fantastic job ordering their favorite meals!
We recommend trying to role-play at home when it's dinner time! Moms can be the staff and children will be the customers. It will be fun!

This week in our Baby class, we did the clapping exercise. One of my baby students already knew how to clap, but she would get shy and not want to clap with mommy. She preferred to clap when she wanted to, not when we wanted her to. However, she often clapped with a big smile on her face when we finished songs together.

Recently, a student forgot to do their homework. They wanted to tell me that they forgot in English, but they did not know how, so they asked one of the Japanese teachers to tell them. The student then repeated the sentence back to me perfectly! I was very impressed that they were able to repeat the whole sentence.
