FUN Facts About My Country!
Hello everyone!
The weather is slowly changing and Spring will come very soon. I hope everybody is keeping themselves healthy and positive.
I am Gleiza Sensei and today, I want to share some fun facts about my country, the Philippines!
I would love to share more about my country and my travel experiences with my students. I hope I can get to have conversations with you one of these days. See you at school!

I am Gleiza Sensei and today, I want to share some fun facts about my country, the Philippines!
- Filipinos love singing!
You can literally find a karaoke place at every corner of the street. There are also times when the whole street will be closed just to celebrate someone’s birthday while singing using a karaoke machine. - Almost all people in the Philippines speak English!
Students start learning English as early as in the nursery level. The Philippines ranks as the fifth-largest English-speaking country globally. So, it is always easy to communicate with the locals. - Philippines celebrates Christmas for almost 5 months!
You heard that right! Most Filipinos are Catholics which makes Christmas the most important holiday of the year. We start decorating our homes, different shops and public areas with Christmas decors by September. We fondly call it the start of the “BER months” because of the last syllable of the months September, October, November and December. Holidays extend until mid-January.
