Amity Corporation was founded in 1973, and currently have 85 school spread across Japan. We have just celebrated our 45th anniversary, and we strive to maintain top-quality education by always updating our teaching methods.
Kumagaya Amity is an English conversation school, specializing in teaching children. Many of our students commute from Gyoda, Fukaya ,Konosu and as well as from Ota(Gunma) areas.
Our classes are taught by using 60-inch monitors with a touch panel so that our students can freely interact with the lesson and do exciting activities while learning English. Our Amity original lesson plans make sure that a high standard is kept all across the nation.
We also offer personalized lessons for older students who are preparing for Eiken Junior, Eiken, TOEIC Bridge, or TOEIC.
Students of all ages are accepted. We have lessons for babies starting at 6 months old, elementary school students, junior high school students, high school students, college students, parents, and grandparents.
We encourage our students to be able to study on their own at home and also to use the practical English they have learned in their classes in everyday situations.
Twice a year we have counseling sessions with parents so that the students' growth can be monitored, and we also invite parents or grandparents to come and join the class during our parent observation weeks, so that even the guardians can experience what it is like to be a student at Amity and can give our teachers feedback.
Payment can be done monthly so that there are no big charges upfront. We have many different types of lessons including private, semi-private, group, and interactive lessons. The interactive lessons involve using computers so that they can practice many types of skills at once including spelling, reading, and listening while they explore the softwares we have specifically selected for each age group. Trial lessons are accepted for all of these lessons. We also offer free 20-minute trial lessons. Please ask our staff for a flyer when you do come visit!
There are 3 native English teachers available at the school who specialize in teaching conversation and interactive lessons, while our 3 Japanese teachers excel in teaching conversation, grammar, and interactive lessons. They are also able to help prepare students for English tests such as Eiken and TOEIC.
