Get ready to add a cool new phrase to your vocabulary: "Break a leg!"🦵

It might sound a little strange, but it's actually a fun way to wish someone good luck! You'll often hear it used before a performance, like a play or a concert.

For example:

"You have your EIKEN exam tomorrow, right? Break a leg!"

"Your soccer match is this weekend. Break a leg!"

You can use it to cheer on anyone before a big event—whether it's for a test, a game, or a performance!

Fun Trivia!

Why "break a leg"? This phrase comes from the world of theater. Actors are a bit superstitious, and they believed that saying "good luck" would actually bring bad luck. So, they started saying "Break a leg!" to trick the bad luck and send positive vibes instead. Pretty clever, right?

Try it out and spread some good luck!

 

 

KS has been making excellent progress in his English lessons at Amity, and we’re so proud of how far he’s come! He now reads short sentences confidently and picks up new vocabulary with ease.

YN has been hard at work preparing to challenge Eiken Jr. Silver over the course of this summer seminar!

Together, we have been practicing taking the test and learning new vocabulary. By incorporating this new vocabulary into full sentences, he can feel confident in his knowledge of the new words for when he takes this test in November.

学習方法や環境などには違いがありますが、英語の習得に必要な時間は3,000時間といわれています。
中学・高校6年間での英語の学習時間は、授業と自主学習を合わせても多くて1,500時間程度と想定されますので、それだけでは英語ができなくても当然といえます。
単純に計算すると、最低でもあと1,500時間程度の学習が必要ということになります。
1,500時間とは、1回1時間の英会話学校に週2回通った場合、14年はかかります。
それだけの期間を要するのであれば始めるのに早いにこしたことはありません。
