Hello everyone!

For today’s news, we’d like to offer you a lesson DVD for 3-year-old and 4-year-old children.

This is a song and picture book DVD. The songs you learn in lessons are included on the DVD. The songs are familiar to Japanese children, so let’s learn the meaning of the lyrics through the animation. The stories included in the song and picture book DVD allow children to learn vocabulary and expressions through dream-filled stories and also encourage their intellectual and emotional development.

We hope you can enjoy learning English together with your children with this DVD!

TOEICはどんなテストか知っていますか？
日常やビジネスの場面を想定した内容で、英文のみで構成された問題が出題されます。
リーディング、リスニング共に100問ずつ出題されるため、文章を素早く読んで要点を読み取るスキミング力が求められます。
また、英検と異なり、合否ではなくスコアで結果が出るため、日頃のレッスンで培われた英語・英会話スキルを確認しやすいのも特徴です。

実は、大学入試共通テストにも似た特徴があります。
実際に受験した高校生からも、速読力や情報処理能力が求められた、等の声が多くあがっています！
そのため、TOEICに挑戦して、スピード感を身に着けることは共通試験にもとても役に立ちます！

アミティーでは、3月と8月と年に2回、TOEIC・TOEIC Bridgeを実施し、中高生の皆さんに受検いただいております。

I’d like to talk about one of our DVDs titled DVD 1: A & B.
In our P1 class, we have two story books that are read and watched in class. DVD 1 has the full story for kids to watch at home to practice and learn more!
Our first story is called Peekaboo! In that story, kids will learn:
· Characters and objects
· Verbs
· Feelings
Our second story for kids to enjoy at home as well is called Abby and Jessie’s Zoo Adventure. In this story, kids will learn:
· Animals
· Adjectives
· Verbs
· Shapes
· Numbers 1 through 10.
There is a lot of information in both our books for kids to learn!
Along with our story books, the DVD also has the songs we learn in our lessons. The lyrics are on the screen to help with reading and for the kids to practice. Parents and kids can sing and learn together!

大学入試の共通テストに似ていることもあり、とても重要な試験です。
「なんだか難しそう…。」

Hello everyone! We would like to tell you about amity’s “Storybook Reader: Eric & Katie’s Dream”
After reading the storybook “Eric & Katie’s Dream”, you can check your understand of the story by using the Storybook Reader.

The Storybook Reader checks your understanding of the stories, words and phrases that appear in the picture book series, and improve your reading comprehension.
The question format is similar to Eiken Grades 4 and 5, so it's great for students who want to start studying for the Eiken Examination.

For example:
A: How many passengers are on the train?
B: There are ( ) passengers.

After you finish reading, you can use the Storybook Reader to review the words, phrases, and answer questions about the story.

昨日紹介した英検JrBronzeで８０％以上の方が次に目指すグレードとしてSilverがあります。
All Lestening のテストは同じく、Bronzeの時には無かったフォニックスの問題が出題される点がBronzeとの大きな問題点の違いです。
英語学習の到達度を診断でき、モチベーションにも繋がりやすいので、小学生以上の方は受験しましょう！

「英検」はご存知の方も多いかと思いますが、
お子様向けに作成されている「英検Jr.」をご存知でしょうか。

英検Jr. BRONZE・SILVER・GOLDの3種類
　　　　 全編リスニング問題
　　　 正解の番号欄に○を書いて回答
　　　 全ての問題にカラーイラストがついており、お子様が取り組みやすい内容
　　　 合否なし、結果はパーセント表記

BRONZEは英検Jr.の中では初級者向けとなっており、
野菜・果物・動物・色・職業・スポーツ、あいさつ等、
親しみやすい英単語・表現を用いて問題が出題されます。

アミティーでは、毎年11月に英検Jr.の試験を開催しております。
