Join Yonago Amity's Battle of the Books!
We are excited to announced that this summer Yonago Amity will be hosting a battle of the book event from June 9th until August 10th! Here's how it works:
- We will set up a race track on the bulletin board, and each participating student will have an avatar/player piece!
- Students will be assigned a team based on Amity Original Storybooks. Choose from Where is My Mother?, Anna's Rocket, or Eric and Katie's Dream. (These books are also available to purchase as part of our book sale!)
- Each team member will complete a weekly reading assignment and move along the track when they finish, their avatar will get closer to the goal!
- After 5 achievements, students will reach the finish line!
The Storybook Team with the most players to cross the finish line by Obon will be the winner!
It is our hope that this activity will encourage students to read deeply and demonstrate comprehension in writing during the course of a fun, challenging battle! ~ Leah Sensei

Our P3 and P4 students have been working hard at their homework and classroom etiquette, so we are excited that they have started gaining recognition for their labours. We are so very proud. To all our students keep doing your best! ^_^

Students and staff have returned safe and happy from Golden Week with stories to share and new goals to accomplish. We have begun our annual book fair here in Yonago and we're excited for our students to begin studying anew! ~ Leah Sensei
It`s golden week and we are so very proud of all our students who have been working very hard during the Amity break period. A special shout out to our Eiken students who have been preparing so hard for their test! We believe in you and know you will do exceptionally well!

The Dawn of a Golden Weekend
Tomorrow marks the first of three successive Japanese holidays and our school is temporarily closed for business. While all the holidays have their merits, it is usually Children's Day that we cherish most at Yonago Amity. We look forward to welcoming students back in May, and hope that all the celebrations do them good! ~ Leah Sensei
先日、TOEIC Bridgeの結果が返ってきました。
なんと！
米子校に全国amityの中で一位を取った生徒さんが出ました！
おめでとうございます！
１００点中、８０点以上を取った生徒さんは次回からTOEICテストに移行することができます。
TOEICテストは、大学の入試で優遇されたり、
入学後も単位の取得やクラス分け、留学への資格になったり、
更には就職では大きな武器になる、
あって絶対に損はない、とーっても強い資格です。
合否ではなく、スコアが出ることから、継続的に学習を続けると同時に、
成果を見ることができるのも大きな特徴です。
まだまだ早い、ではなく、少しでも早めに準備していきましょう。
もう遅い、なんてことはありません。

I spy, you spy, we all spy!
Get your detective glasses out, we have a tricky eye spy for our lobby area! It`s a race against the clock, let`s see if anyone can find all the items before our golden week break! I do believe there is a mighty prize ahead for the winner, everyone do your best!

This marks the fourth week of the new semester, and students have become more comfortable with the new routine. We are looking forward to learning more consistently now that we are familiar with our classmates and classroom expectations.
