Wind energy is the only power source that doesn’t need water.
Tomorrow will be Global Wind Day.
Global Wind Day is celebrated on June 15th, every year.
It’s an international event to raise awareness regarding the importance of wind energy and the power it holds to change the world, improve energy systems, and decarbonize economies.
Investing in wind energy means spending less money on fossil fuel imports, resulting in a smaller carbon footprint and minimized CO2 for cleaner air on our planet. 🌍
On this day, we learn not just about how wind power leads to a greener planet, but also about job creation and employment opportunities for many people.

A poem is a piece of writing that uses imaginative words to share ideas, emotions or
a story with the reader.
A person who writes a poem is called a poet.
Let's read this poem by Gillian Craig:

Dreams
Last night I flew in outer space
I flew so fast and far.
An alien spaceship tried to chase
Me round a shining star.
Last night I had a pair of wings
But still I couldn’t fly.
I had to watch as other things
Like chairs went floating by!
Last night I helped a dragon with
A roar that had no fire.
I gave it chilli peppers
And watched the flames shoot higher.
Last night I found some magic shoes
Which made me feel so tall.
I jumped so high I couldn’t lose
When I played basketball.
Last night I painted my whole town
In yellow, blue and red.
It looked as if a circus clown
Had coloured it instead.
Each night I curl up in my bed
Excited to find out
What I will be inside my head
What my dreams will be about.

Donut Day falls on the first Friday in June each year and is on June 7th this year.
They didn’t always have a hole
These first versions were simply made up of a fried dough, omitting their now characteristic shape.
They exist in math
In geometry, the shape of a donut is known as a Torus.
There’s a lot of them
It’s estimated that 10 billion donuts are sold in the United States.
Donuts can be luxurious
A donut filled with champagne and topped with 24 karat gold can be purchased for hefty fee.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT MOUNT EVEREST

Let's read about Mount Everest.
Mount Everest Day is celebrated every year on May 29, which is today.
Mount Everest is the tallest mountain.
Climbing Mount Everest is an accomplishment many people dream of but only a few achieve. Climbing the tallest mountain in the world comes with some life-threatening risks. It requires very good physical fitness. The climbers who make it usually have trained for many years before attempting the tallest mountain. It can take a good climber about two months to reach the peak.
Here are some interesting facts about Mount Everest:
It is in two countries- Mount Everest is located on the border of both China and Nepal.
Thousands have climbed Everest- Over 4,000 people have been recorded to have successfully climbed Mount Everest.
There is a summit window- The summit window is when conditions are safe enough for climbers in May and again for a short period in September
It is in a mountain range- Mount Everest can be found in the Mahalangur mountain range
It was identified by a mathematician- An Indian mathematician and surveyor, Radhanath Sikdar, was the first person to identify the mountain.
