Our Senior High School Students learned useful English phrases such as go backpacking, try out the new café, a typhoon is rolling in, exam week is coming up, curl up with a book and hot cocoa, etc. We had a fun discussion of our weekend plans, and we also thought of some unexpected circumstances that might cancel those plans. Nevertheless, we should not let those canceled plans stop us from having a good weekend! Students gave practical advice and came up with new ways to spend a good weekend.

Special Events and Celebrations in February
Time goes by really fast, isn`t it? It`s already February, the second month of the year. How has your 2025 been going?
There are special events this month such as the Bean Throwing Festival which we are celebrating today (February 2nd), National Foundation Day (on February 11th) and Valentine`s Day (on February 14th). Which among these events are you most excited about?

Our students learned new vocabulary words related to one`s interests or hobbies such as athlete, bowler and artist. They also thought of other examples and shared them with their classmates. At a young age, our students are encouraged to talk about their skills and assess if they are good or bad at doing them.

How do you usually spend your weekends?
Some students are busy with club activities while others try to unwind and relax with their families and friends. There are also some people who like staying at home and enjoying quality time with their families.
How about you? What do you want to do on weekends?
"Is that a zebra? No, it isn`t. It`s a tiger."
Our students had so much fun learning about animals. They practiced asking questions and giving correct responses while doing our classroom activities. They also gave more examples of animals that they usually see at the zoo such as kangaroos, elephants, and bears.

What are you good at? Are you good at tap dancing, magic tricks or arts and crafts? These were some of the vocabulary words that our elementary students learned this week. They also shared with their classmates other activities and sports that they are good at such as gymnastics, soccer and English. They also talked about their weaknesses or those things that they are bad at. Everyone got to know their classmates better and learned new useful phrases!
