We had so much fun in our lesson with Junior High School students this week. They learned new vocabulary words such as going to the skating rink, meeting with friends, working out and other useful phrases that they can use in conversation. They also shared what they do during their free time or on the weekends. It was a fun-filled lesson, indeed!
English Lesson with Parents
This week is a special one for our students and parents here at Koi Amity. Parents are going to join our lessons with their children and do fun activities with them. It is a good opportunity for parents to see how good our students are in the lesson. Also, it is for our students to show to their parents that they enjoy taking English lessons at Amity.

In Japan, there are four seasons that make us appreciate the beauty of nature. Snow in winter, cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer and autumn leaves in fall make each season unique and memorable. There are also a lot of seasonal foods, activities and events in each of the four seasons.

There are so many things to be grateful for.
Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in America and marks the start of the holiday season. Since it is a national holiday, families and friends gather and share a traditional Thanksgiving meal. They also share stories and express words of gratitude for all the blessings they have received throughout the year.

Upcoming Events in November
It is the first week of November! After all the Halloween events and fun trick-or-treat activities in October, people are now preparing for the upcoming celebrations this month.
In Japan, one of the big events in November is `Shichi-Go-San` or `Seven-Five-Three` which is a rite of passage for young children for their continued growth and well-being. It will be held on November 15th where children will wear traditional kimonos or western formal wear and will visit shrines with their parents.
In the United States, Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday where families and friends gather on the fourth Thursday of November to celebrate all the blessings that they have received in the past year.
These festive events are wonderful celebrations indeed!

Fun Ways to Learn English
Do you want to improve your English skills? There are many ways to do it such as watching English movies, reading books written in English and listening to English songs. It is also important to practice our skills by using the English language in conversations. Here at Koi Amity, students have a lot of opportunities to speak with their teachers and classmates in English. Also, we do a lot of fun activities to help our students improve their skills.
