Emeralds also have spiritual properties as do all crystals. Emeralds have the ability to cure the sick and are often used as talismans.

Emeralds are said to be the stone of truth so they helped people see clearly as well as protect from anything malevolent. Emeralds open your heart and calm your emotions. They provide inspiration, balance, wisdom, and patience.

It is said to promote friendship , peace and harmony.

昨日から、アミティーのレッスンも再スタートしました。

ゴールデンウイークから明けて、学校もアミティーも通常通り始まった昨日でしたが、
みんな疲れも見せず、楽しそうに来てくれました。

16時の小学生低学年クラスでは、2週間前に取り組んだ英単語、英語表現もしっかりと覚えてくれていました。
HeとSheの使い分けもばっちりで、He is a police officer.と完ぺきに発表をしてくれました✨
冠詞のaがつくときとつかない時の区別は、もう少し練習をしていきましょうね。

引き続き、この調子で頑張っていきましょう！

 

Emeralds are the birthstone for the month of May. For a long time my favourite colour was forest green because of this.

Emeralds are a deep green stone related to aquamarine. Emeralds symbolize truth and love. In greek and roman mythology the Emerald was said to be the gemstone of the goddess Venus.

On the opposite side of the world Egyptians believed emeralds to be a source of eternal life.

Emeralds can be colors other than Green as well. Though most are green, they can be bluish colors or even purples.

The next flower for the month of may is the Hawthorn which is apart of the rose family.

Hawthorn flowers grow on trees and shrubs and their name means strength. Because of the strength of the wood and the sharp thorns on the branches.

Hawthorns signify hope and also mark the entrance to other worlds with a strong connection to fairies. This might lead into why I like mythical creatures so much.

In greek culture they used their branches for weddings, in Celtic culture it was thought to heal a broken heart and in serbian lore they believed stakes made from hawthorn could kill vampires.

I like the Lilly of the Valley flowers and it is the flower I prefer more out of my birth flowers.

In astrology the lily's are said to be protected by the son of the goddess Maia. In greek mythology that god is Hermes, God of travel.

According to the mythology, the lily of the valley fell in love with the song of nightingale and only bloomed when the nightingale bird returned to the woods in May.

It is also said that Apollo created the ground cover flower for nymphs to walk on.

This flower is associated with motherhood, sweetness, purity and humility. It signifies a return to happiness.

Next up is our birth flower. We have two as do most months. The first ones are Lily of the Valley.

These are very small flowers, with multiple white bell shaped flowers on the end of a thin green stem. It comes back every year and can spread widely. It is a good flower to sow around a large field.

Lily of the Valleys represent sweetness and purity. These flowers also have a strong sweet smell.
