Welcome back everyone! Classes will be starting up again today at Amity.
We are very excited to see all of you again and hear about all the things you did during Golden Week.
You can tell us about your holiday by using verbs in the past tense! For example:
"I went to the beach."
"I did my homework and rested."
"I played video games with my friends."
You can also ask your friends and teachers the question:
"What did you do during Golden Week?"
Please let us know about all the things you did!

アミティーはお休み中ですが、宿題は進んでいるでしょうか？
学年ドリル・フォニックス・リスニングトレジャーチェストを持っているみなさんは、
ゴールデンウィーク中にすべて終わらせるよう頑張りましょう(^^)

Have a nice Golden week!

This past month, our P6 students have been learning different phrases they can use to talk about themselves.
They studied how to say where they are form and their nationality:
"I'm from Hiroshima, Japan. I'm Japanese."
They also learned how to talk about their birthday and school grade:
"My birthday is July 23rd. I'm in the seventh grade. I'm a junior high school student."
We also looked at different hobbies and things we do during our free time:
"I read books." "I watch movies." "I play sports."
Lastly, they learned how to talk about their favorite type of movie and music:
"My favorite type of movie is action films" "My favorite type of music is pop music."
Using all of these useful phrases, our P6 students can now introduce themselves to others in English!
Let's practice these language patterns when making friends at Amity.

今日はインタラクティブレッスンの様子を紹介します。
小学生低学年クラスでは、英語で算数の勉強をします！
ピザを作る場面では分数について学び、ピザの上に何がのっているか聞かれたときに、
"One half anchovy, and one half gummy!"　と答える練習をしました。
そしてノートにおいしそうなピザと単語を書くことができました🍕

Last week I asked Amity students "what do you want to do during Golden Week?".
I got some great and funny answers so I wanted to share with everyone:
"I want to go shopping with my friends." 👜
"I want to play video games." 🎮
"I want to play table tennis." 🏓
"I want to sleep a lot." 😪

小学校でも英語の授業が始まったことで、英語学習の重要性が高まっています！
しかしながら、英語のテストの点数に一喜一憂したり、
目先の成績のための勉強になってしまっている方がいらっしゃるのも現実です。
